Interior Trek
Step back in time with Sobek’s trek into the interior of Bali. Heading to Mount Batu Karu, we begin new a hot spring, walking into one of the most fertile areas of the island. Although much of Bali has adopted the modern methods of the west, on the Batu Karu plain, farmers continue the traditions of centuries ago. Learn on this two-hour trek how medicines and materials are harvested from plants and shrubs and how the intricate system of irrigation provides water for everyone. Then, after lunch by the banks of a nearby river, enjoy a complimentary massage or spa at Yeh Panes.
