PURA BESAKIH
The most holy temple on Bali, built on the slope of Gunung Agung on the height of 1,000
meters. It is the mother temple of all 20,000 temples on Bali. When Gunung Agung erupted
in 1963, about 1,600 praying Hindu’s, who tried to avert the disaster, were killed
and more than 86,000 peoples lost their homes.
