BALI IN A GLANCE


Bali is one of 17,000 islands of the Indonesian archipelago that one of the most beautiful tourist destination in the world. The island covers an extent of 5,632.86 square kilo meters devided into 8 regencies, with mountain range stretches from the West tip to the East. Gunung Agung, the tallest (3,142 meters) active volcano recently, considered as the holliest mount by Balinese.

The rich volcanic soil and monsoon season bring fertility to crops grown on this island; and It's tropical rain forests rich of unique floras and faunas. About 70% of the whole extent is agricultural ground, while the other part of 22% consists of forest and only a little part or about 8% left uncultivated.

The average temperature at the coastal area normally varies from about 28°C during May, June, and July; up to 30°C on March and October. The average temperature in the highlands normally varies from about 16°C up to 26°C and sometimes will drop to 8°C during the night. High humidity about 70% up to 95%. Dry season between May and September are the pleasant sunny days. Tropical rainy season between October and April alternate with clear sky and sunshine.
